Job summary

Green Cross Health, through Unichem Katikati Pharmacy, is offering an Intern Pharmacist role in the Bay of Plenty. This 12-month fixed-term, full-time position provides hands-on dispensing experience under a preceptor, in a supportive team focused on patient care and community health.

You will learn dispensary operations, clinical knowledge, vaccinations, health checks, and more, mentored to build confidence.

• $23.95 - $25.00 per hour - Depending on experience

What you will be doing as anIntern Pharmacist

You will be assisting with day to day operations within the Dispensary and be providing accurate and efficient dispensing of pharmaceuticals under the supervision of a preceptor. Working alongside the wider Pharmacy team you will also be learning about Dispensary operations, the Pharmacy Retail business and how it all operates together.

You will be encouraged, mentored, and given real opportunities to grow your clinical knowledge and confidence within a positive well - established community-loved pharmacy environment that goes beyond scripts. We pride ourselves on providing personalised health advice, a wide range of services (vaccinations, health checks, minor ailments and more) and strong relationships with our patients and community. This role will require you to work approximately 40 hours per week on rotating rosters which gives a full circle picture of the business and our patients.

To be eligible for an Intern Pharmacist position, applicants must:

• Be in their final year of a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (NZ or approved overseas institution).

• Obtain provisional registration with the Pharmacy Council of NZ under the Intern Scope of Practice before starting.
• Have excellent communication skills
