Job summary

Talent Propeller Limited is seeking an experienced Intermediate Planner - RMA Consents for Whangārei District Council. This role offers autonomy to process a range of consent applications, with opportunities to support Senior Planners on complex cases and contribute to improved planning processes.

You will provide peer reviews, advise applicants and consultants, and collaborate with Council staff while working to shape development outcomes in Whangārei.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Resource Management Planning
• Minimum four years' post-graduate planning experience
• Eligibility for full NZPI membership
• Solid understanding of the RMA and related legislation

Responsibilities

• Process a variety of consent applications, from straightforward to moderately complex
• Provide peer support and assist Senior Planners on complex applications
• Act as a trusted advisor to applicants, consultants and Council staff
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and service delivery
