Job summary

The position sits in a respected planning consultancy serving Auckland & Northland, offering diverse urban, rural, and coastal projects.

You will prepare and process resource consent applications and related documentation, advise clients under the RMA, and liaise with authorities and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• NZPI-recognised qualification in Resource Management Planning or related discipline.
• RMA consenting experience of at least 4 years.
• Ability to build stakeholder relationships and maintain professionalism.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process resource consent applications, AEEs, and supporting planning documentation to a high standard.
• Provide clear and practical planning advice to clients on resource consent matters under the RMA and relevant planning frameworks.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders in a professional and responsive manner.
• Prepare planning assessments and supporting consent documentation.
• Conduct pre-application processes, responses to submissions, and participation in hearings or mediation as required.
• Contribute positively to team culture, internal processes, and the professional reputation of the organisation.
