Job summary

BCD Group is seeking an Intermediate Planner to join our Infrastructure and Environmental team in Hamilton, Tauranga, or potentially other NZ locations. The role focuses on providing professional and technical planning expertise across a range of multidisciplinary projects and ensuring compliance with consent processing and legislation.

You will contribute to project delivery, collaborate with a wide team of property professionals, and advance your career within a supportive consultancy culture

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of work experience in planning/resource management in NZ.
• Ability to interpret legislation to inform planning assessments and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job description

We are looking for a self-motivated, confident, reliable, and well-organised Intermediate Planner to join our team of property professionals in the Hamilton or Tauranga office. As part of our Infrastructure and Environmental team, you will provide professional and technical planning expertise across a range of projects andbe exposed to the full range of consultancy services it takes to bring a project to life. What we are looking for:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in planning/resource management within NZ with a sound understanding of consent processing and relevant legislation.
• A tertiary qualification in planning, geography and/or resource management.
• An Associate or Graduate NZPI membership.
• Ability to interpret legislation to inform planning assessments and processes.
• Ability to organise workload and projects effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and relationship skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to providing the best outcomes for clients.
