Job summary

Dimension Software in Auckland seeks a Test Analyst (Junior to Intermediate) to design, execute and manage tests for our real-time industrial software solutions.

You will collaborate with developers to create test strategies, automate where possible, and ensure quality across REST APIs and systems. This is an on-site role in Ellerslie with a collaborative team and opportunities to work on international projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software testing or quality assurance experience.
• Hands-on with Selenium and/or Playwright/Typescript, Jest, JSON, Jira.
• Proficient in automated and manual testing tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs.
• Ability to write and interpret SQL queries of moderate complexity.
• Experience in integration and regression testing.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholders.
• Experience testing commercial off-the-shelf software is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience testing websites and REST APIs.

The Opportunity

We're looking for experiencedJunior and or Intermediate Test Analyststo play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of our software products. This is an opportunity for a hands-on testing professional who enjoys working closely with developers, contributing to continuous improvement and helping deliver high-quality solutions in the operational technology space.

Your Role

As a Test Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, executing and managing tests to support the continuous development and deployment of our software solutions. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Collaborating with developers to understand product requirements and develop effective test strategies

• Utilising automated testing tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years’ experiencein software testing or quality assurance
• Must have hands-on experience with Selenium and or Playwright/Typescript; Jest; JSON; Jira programmes
• Must have proficiency with both automated and manual testing tools and frameworks
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and Agile methodologies
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs
• Ability to write and interpret SQL queries of moderate complexity
• Strength in integration and regression testing
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong communication and inter-relationship skills, able to explain test outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with JIRAor similar issue and project tracking tools
• Experience testing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software is an advantage
• Hands-on experience testing website and REST APIs
• Well versed in use of AI-Tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.) in testing
