Job summary

Dimension Software in Auckland seeks a Test Analyst (Junior to Intermediate) to design, execute and manage tests for our real-time industrial software solutions.

You will collaborate with developers to create test strategies, automate where possible, and ensure quality across REST APIs and systems. This is an on-site role in Ellerslie with a collaborative team and opportunities to work on international projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software testing or quality assurance experience.
• Hands-on with Selenium and/or Playwright/Typescript, Jest, JSON, Jira.
• Proficient in automated and manual testing tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs.
• Ability to write and interpret SQL queries of moderate complexity.
• Experience in integration and regression testing.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholders.
• Experience testing commercial off-the-shelf software is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience testing websites and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Designing, executing and managing tests to support continuous development and deployment of our software solutions.
• Collaborating with developers to understand product requirements and develop effective test strategies.
• Designing and executing test cases covering functionality, performance, reliability, scalability and security.
• Utilising automated testing tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Identifying, documenting and tracking software defects and inconsistencies.
• Providing clear, actionable feedback to support timely issue resolution.
• Contributing ideas that help the team continuously improve practices and processes.
• Maintaining clear documentation of testing processes and outcomes.
• Staying up to date with testing tools, methodologies and industry trends.
