The People Place in Auckland is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical and Civil Engineer to work on dams, water storage and complex infrastructure across New Zealand. You will collaborate with senior engineers to deliver technically challenging projects and advance your career through hands-on design leadership.
This role offers exposure to site investigations, client engagement and a clear path toward chartership, with opportunities for professional development and broader project ownership.
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.
My client is an established New Zealand engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for technical excellence and a pipeline of complex, high-value projects. Their work spans geotechnical, dam and water engineering and infrastructure, and their engineers get close to the technical thinking rather than sitting on the edge of it.
Working locally and across New Zealand, you'll work on dams, water storage and large, complex infrastructure, alongside experienced senior and principal engineers who'll review your work and genuinely back your development. It's the kind of environment where new ideas and fresh thinking are genuinely welcome.
This is an intermediate role for a geotechnical and civil engineer who wants to get deep into design. As you grow, you'll take on more day-to-day technical leadership, build your own client relationships, and help lift the junior engineers around you.
