Job summary

William Buck New Zealand is seeking an Intermediate Auditor to join our Auckland Audit team. You will deliver high-quality assurance and audit services to a diverse client base, supporting and mentoring junior members and working closely with Audit Seniors, Managers and Partners.

You’ll take ownership of engagements and contribute to the success of both our clients and our people, while progressing towards CA membership and strengthening your technical accounting knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ practical experience in assurance and audit within professional services.
• Working towards full CA membership or equivalent.
• Strong technical accounting and audit knowledge.

Description of the role:

We’re seeking an Intermediate Auditor to join our Audit team in Auckland.

In this role, you’ll deliver high‑quality assurance and audit services to a diverse client base while supporting and mentoring junior team members. You’ll work closely with the Audit Seniors, Managers and Partners, taking ownership of engagements and contributing to the success of both our clients and our people.

What makes you ‘just right’:

• Working towards full CA membership (or equivalent)
• 1-3 years’ practical experience in assurance and audit within a professional services environment
• Strong technical accounting and audit knowledge

What your day might look like:

Our Auditors are often out at client’s premises conducting external audits of their organisation. An audit can provide assurance to a financial report for the stakeholders involved. Audit can also include risk management whereby programs are integrated into a business’ operational processes to improve overall performance. A successful Auditor is at the forefront of legislative, compliance and financial reporting requirements and plays an integral role in the future success of our client's business.
