BDO Manawatu invites an Intermediate or Senior Auditor to join our Audit and Assurance practice in Palmerston North. You will work alongside experienced professionals to deliver high-quality audit and assurance services for a diverse client portfolio, with a particular emphasis on schools and education sector clients.

We value your two-plus years in public practice and your interest or experience in education sector audits, supported by a strong team culture and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Commerce or Accounting or equivalent.
• At least two years' experience in a public practice audit environment.
• Experience in a New Zealand CA firm.
• School audit experience or strong interest in the education sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Proactive approach and commitment to professional development.

The Role

As an Intermediate/Senior Auditor, you will work closely with Partners, Managers and fellow team members to deliver high-quality audit and assurance services to our clients.

A significant component of this role involves working with schools and education sector organisations, making previous school audit experience highly desirable.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week).

About You

You’ll bring:

• A Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• At least two years' experience within a public practice audit environment.
• Experience working within a New Zealand CA firm.
• School audit experience, or a strong interest in developing expertise in the education sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and organisational ability.
