BDO Auckland is seeking an Audit Senior to lead engagements, review financial statements and strengthen internal controls. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with Partners and Managers, and ensure high-quality audits delivered on time.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of audit experience in a professional services firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • CA or ACCA qualification.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead audit engagements and manage junior team members.
  • Examine financial statements for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Review accounting systems and control procedures.
  • Provide recommendations to improve controls and processes.
  • Ensure adherence to quality and risk management standards.
  • Summarize clients’ business models and audit risks for the team.

We are looking for someone who is experienced, has strong commercial acumen and looking for career growth with:

  • 4+ years of audit experience within a professional services firm
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CA or ACCA qualified
  • Strong understanding of audit methodology and accounting standards
  • String written and oral skills in English
