Job summary
Watercare is seeking an Instrumentation Technician for the North Shore, based at the Rosedale Wastewater Treatment Plant. You will test, calibrate, install and maintain control systems to ensure reliable water and wastewater services for Auckland.
You will work with PLC, SCADA and DCS systems in a continuous process environment, lead technical tasks with a small team, and keep accurate calibration records. A National Certificate in Industrial Instrumentation Level 4 is required; Electrical
Qualifications
- Proven background in instrumentation.
- National Certificate in Industrial Instrumentation and Control Level 4 or equivalent.
- Current Electrical Registration would be an added advantage.
- Experience with PLC, SCADA & DCS in continuous process environments.
Responsibilities
- Test, calibrate, install, repair and inspect control systems and monitoring devices.
- Maintain instrumentation and control systems to ensure operational functionality.
- Install and commission additions or upgrades to existing systems.
- Respond to control system alarms and notify supervisors when systems are at risk.
- Keep accurate records of calibration or test results.
