Job summary

Watercare in Auckland is offering an Instrumentation Apprenticeship that enables you to earn while you learn. You will gain hands-on experience maintaining sensors, analysers, transmitters, telemetry, and control systems across treatment plants and networks.

You'll complete the NZ Certificate in Electrical Engineering Theory & Practice (Level 3) and an Instrumentation and Control apprenticeship qualification while you earn, with full training and opportunities for career growth within Watercare.

Qualifications

• Team player with good communication skills.
• Health and safety focus is essential.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends when required (rare).
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Interest in electronics, automation, technology, or engineering.
• Desire to work in the water industry.
• Enjoys hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems across Watercare's assets.
• Fault-find and calibrate instruments; interpret technical drawings.
• Support safe and efficient operation of critical systems.
