Job summary

ESPlastics is seeking an experienced Injection Technician to join our manufacturing team at our Pukete Waikato facility. This full-time role focuses on operating and optimising injection moulding equipment to deliver high-quality plastic components safely and efficiently.

You will maintain equipment, monitor production parameters and collaborate with the team to meet targets while upholding our safety and quality standards. We offer training and development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating injection moulding equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Sound knowledge of injection moulding processes, materials and quality control procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
  • Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain it
  • A strong safety-conscious mindset and understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
  • Relevant qualifications or formal training in injection moulding technology or plastics manufacturing (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Operating and monitoring injection moulding machines to produce plastic components to specified tolerances and quality standards
  • Setting up and adjusting injection moulding equipment, including moulds, temperature controls and pressure settings
  • Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and moulds to ensure optimal performance and longevity
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing corrective actions or escalating problems to senior technicians as required
  • Recording production data, machine parameters and quality metrics accurately for operational and compliance purposes
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe working practices
  • Collaborating with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation

Job description

ESPlastics is seeking an experienced Injection Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team at our Pukete Waikato facility. This is a full-time position offering a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge injection moulding equipment in a professional and supportive environment. As an Injection Technician, you will play a crucial role in our production operations, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality plastic components whilst maintaining safety and quality standards. This position is essential to our manufacturing success and offers the chance to develop your technical expertise within a growing organisation.

Key responsibilities

Operating and monitoring injection moulding machines to produce plastic components to specified tolerances and quality standards

Setting up and adjusting injection moulding equipment, including moulds, temperature controls and pressure settings

Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and moulds to ensure optimal performance and longevity

Troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing corrective actions or escalating problems to senior technicians as required

Recording production data, machine parameters and quality metrics accurately for operational and compliance purposes

Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe working practices

What we're looking for
