Job summary

Downer in Hamilton is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Structures and Capital to lead maintenance, renewals and capital works while prioritising safety, sustainability and client satisfaction.

You will manage planning, budgeting and reporting across multiple projects, build strong relationships with Hamilton City Council, NZTA, suppliers and contractors, and drive a high-performance, zero-harm culture.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering infrastructure projects including civil construction or maintenance.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Ability to manage planning, budgeting, and reporting across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver maintenance, renewals, and capital projects on time, on budget, and to high standards.
• Lead planning, budgeting, and reporting functions across multiple projects.
• Drive a high-performance and safety-first culture within the team and contractors.
• Foster strong relationships with Hamilton City Council, NZTA, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Manage tendering processes, procurement strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
