About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Information Security Administrator to manage and maintain security systems at their facility in Queenstown . This role is critical for ensuring the operational integrity and security of the company's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for administering security tools, monitoring for threats, and supporting incident response activities. Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain firewalls , intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
• Monitor network traffic and system logs for security anomalies and potential breaches.
• Implement and manage endpoint security solutions, including antivirus and anti-malware software.
• Assist in the execution of security awareness training programs for employees.
• Support the incident response team by collecting data and performing initial analysis of security events.
• Ensure security configurations are up-to-date and aligned with company policies and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in IT administration with a focus on information security .
• Hands-on experience with network security devices and security monitoring tools.
• Understanding of security principles, protocols, and common threats.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
