Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst based in Queenstown to enhance security defenses. The role focuses on researching, analyzing, and disseminating actionable intelligence on current and emerging cyber threats, and informing proactive defenses.

You will analyze threat actors, their TTPs, and threat campaigns while developing reports for diverse audiences and integrating TI into security operations, incident response, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in cyber threat intelligence, security analysis, or incident response.
• Proficiency in analyzing malware, network traffic, and forensic data.
• Strong understanding of global threat landscape, attack vectors, and adversary motivations.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze threat intelligence from OSINT, dark web, and threat feeds.
• Identify and track threat actors, their campaigns, and TTPs.
• Develop and maintain threat intelligence reports and presentations for different audiences.
• Integrate threat intelligence into security operations, incident response, and risk management processes.
• Provide early warnings of potential threats and recommend proactive defensive measures.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to enhance their security defenses from their base in Queenstown . This role is dedicated to researching, analyzing, and disseminating actionable intelligence on current and emerging cyber threats. You will play a key role in helping the organization anticipate and defend against potential attacks by understanding threat actors, their motivations, and their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). This is a crucial position for identifying and mitigating sophisticated cyber risks.
