Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Specialist to join our fully remote team, supporting operations from Queenstown and surrounding areas in New Zealand. You will implement and maintain security controls to protect data and IT systems, across vulnerability management, awareness training, and incident response support.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in IT/CS and 2–4 years in information security, with knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, network security, and endpoint

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in information security.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, network security, and endpoint protection.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and basic incident handling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certifications advantageous.
