Job summary

Champion Kids Early Childhood Education Tasman/Nelson is seeking an Infants and Toddlers Certified Teacher for a full-time permanent position. The role runs 7:30am to 4:45pm, with staff meetings on Mondays at 4:45pm.

We are licensed for 15 infants and toddlers attending 7:45am to 4:30pm. Our Cottage kaiako practice centres on building strong, trusting relationships with tamariki and whānau, creating a secure, inclusive environment where every child feels known, valued and supported.

Qualifications

• Experienced in teaching within an ECE setting.
• Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a supportive team.
• Passion for working with tamariki and nurturing care.
• Growth mindset and willingness to engage in professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Build strong, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and fellow kaiako.
• Foster a warm, respectful and inclusive environment.
• Promote high standards of cleanliness, health and safety.
