Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Quality Control Inspector in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on ensuring that automotive components meet quality standards through visual checks, dimensional verification, and documentation.

You will collaborate with production and engineering teams to address issues and uphold ISO/TS 16949 standards. Applicants should have proven QC inspection experience in manufacturing, strong measurement tool skills, and a meticulous eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with good documentation skills.
• Ability to identify defects and initiate corrective action when needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and physical inspections of incoming materials and finished components.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure parts meet requirements.
• Document non-conformities and initiate corrective actions.
• Perform routine quality checks on production lines and calibrate equipment.
• Maintain inspection records and quality reports; work with teams to drive improvements.
• Ensure compliance with quality management standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949).
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental regulations.
