Job summary

Hynds Pipe Systems Limited in New Zealand is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our Pokeno site maintenance team. You will work on real industrial equipment daily, responding to breakdowns and planning planned maintenance to keep the plant reliable and productive.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will develop maintenance procedures, train operators, and contribute ideas to improve plant design.

Qualifications

Electrical trade certificate and NZ registration required.
Full NZ Electrical registration or ability to obtain within around 7 months.
Minimum 2 years' electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Experience writing JSEAs and SOPs.

Responsibilities

Responding to breakdowns and getting plant back up and running fast.
Planning and carrying out scheduled maintenance and plant shutdowns.
Fault finding and root cause analysis to extend plant life and reduce breakdowns.
Repairing or organising repairs to mechanical plant items.
Managing electrical spares, inventory and parts refurbishment.
Condition monitoring and recording breakdown data to improve reliability.
Developing maintenance procedures, SOPs and safe isolation practices.
Helping train operators and contributing ideas to improve plant design and productivity.
