Job summary

Industrial Controls South Canterbury Ltd is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician based in Timaru, with travel across the South Island as required. You will install, maintain and commission electrical systems across New Zealand’s primary industries, delivering high-quality work that keeps client operations safe and efficient.

You will join engineers, automation specialists and electricians to support projects in food & beverage, water, industrial processing, manufacturing and energy

Qualifications

• New Zealand Registered Electrician qualification with current practising licence.
• Experience in industrial electrical installation, project delivery and maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding skills and ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills with a commitment to safety, quality and customer service.
• Experience in instrumentation, hazardous areas, inspection or machine safety would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission industrial electrical systems, equipment and infrastructure.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding and electrical upgrades across industrial facilities.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and installation documentation.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality industrial electrical projects and maintenance services.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
