Job summary

MASH Trust in Waitārere Beach is seeking a calm, patient Support Worker to assist a young woman living independently. You will help build daily living skills, support community participation, and maintain meaningful relationships with warmth and humour.

Two permanent part-time roles are available, 20 hours per fortnight. A full driver's licence and own vehicle are required, with comprehensive training provided to support your growth and the client's wellbeing in a friendly, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must have a full licence and own vehicle.
• Experience in teaching, education, coaching, disability support, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to build genuine relationships and set boundaries while remaining warm and patient.

Responsibilities

• Walk alongside the person in daily life to build skills and achieve goals.
• Support access to the community and maintain relationships for independent living.
• Provide structured, teaching-based support and calm, reassuring presence.
• Be consistent, reliable, and adaptable to changing needs and plans.
