Job summary

Kristin School in Auckland seeks an Inclusive Learning Teacher to increase access and engagement for a diverse group of learners in the Middle and Senior School. You will identify learning needs, implement SACs and IEPs, and work with teachers to remove barriers that might exclude students, including supporting transitions and small-group study for Years 11–12.

Qualifications

• NZ registered teacher with success in working with neurodiverse learners.
• Knowledge and experience with SAC testing and applications.
• Demonstrated success in implementing IEPs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Commitment to your professional development.
• Small class sizes with highly engaged students.

Responsibilities

• Increase access and engagement for a diverse group of learners by identifying needs and removing barriers.
• Identify students for SACs, screen and share information with teachers and year level deans.
• Lead timetabled supported study classes with small groups in Year 11 and 12.
• Collaborate with Teaching staff and contribute to annual camp and co-curricular programmes.
• Teach at least one subject line as part of the role.
