Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Educational Content Developer to create and refine curriculum materials for diverse learning platforms. This remote role emphasizes clear writing, instructional design, and collaboration with subject matter experts to deliver high-quality educational resources.

The ideal candidate will have a strong pedagogical background, an ability to manage multiple projects, and a portfolio demonstrating impactful content development across courses and assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Communications, Journalism or related field.
• 3+ years in educational content development, curriculum writing, or technical writing in education.
• Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning theories.
• Ability to research complex topics and present them clearly.
• CMS or LMS experience is beneficial.
• MS Office proficiency; familiarity with digital content creation tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent collaboration with remote teams.
• Portfolio of writing samples or developed educational content is required.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, and edit educational content for courses, modules, and learning resources.
• Develop clear learning objectives, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
• Create engaging assessments, quizzes, and activities to measure learning.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
• Work with graphic designers and multimedia specialists to integrate visuals and interactive elements.
• Ensure content adheres to style guides, quality standards, and accessibility requirements.
• Adapt content for different learning modalities and audiences.
• Review and revise existing educational materials to improve clarity and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on best practices in content development and educational pedagogy.
• Manage content development projects and ensure timely delivery of materials.
