New Zealand King Salmon is seeking an IT Operations Assistant to join our ICT team on a three-month fixed-term basis in Nelson. You will support workstation refresh, assist with day-to-day ICT tasks, and work under guidance from experienced team members across corporate offices and facilities.

New Zealand King Salmon is looking for an IT Operations Assistant to join our ICT team on a three-month fixed-term basis. This role would suit a recent graduate, final-year IT student, or someone early in their technology career who is keen to develop practical experience across IT operations, endpoint deployment, asset management and user support.
The initial focus of the role will be supporting our workstation lifecycle refresh programme, replacing laptops, desktops and specialist workstations across the business. You’ll also assist with a range of day-to-day ICT operational activities and gain exposure to the systems and processes involved in supporting a modern business environment.
Full-time availability is preferred, however part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate
You’ll receive technical guidance and support from experienced members of the ICT team.
We’re looking for someone who is practical, organised and keen to learn. You may be a recent graduate, final-year student, or someone looking to take the first step into an IT career.
Ideally, you will have:
Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Entra ID, Active Directory, IT service management tools or asset management systems would be an advantage, but is not essential.

This role is based in Nelson, with occasional travel to other NZKS sites as required. A current New Zealand driver’s licence is essential.
