Job summary

Vessev is offering an internship to work with our engineering team on hydrofoiling electric vessels designed in New Zealand. You will assist in mechanical design, testing, and refinement of foil mechanisms, from prototype builds to on-water validation.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed a mechanical engineering degree and are excited to contribute to real engineering challenges, with opportunities to work across CAD, testing, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed mechanical engineering degree.
• Solid understanding of mechanical design and systems.
• Experience taking designs from prototype through to production.
• Ability to read and communicate using technical drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on testing of foil mechanisms in workshop and on water.
• Support CAD work, develop components and fixtures, and help transition designs to production.
• Build and commission prototypes and test equipment for foil mechanisms.
• Collect and analyze data using sensors and data logging tools to evaluate performance.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and manufacturing engineers to create solutions.
