Job summary

Vessev in Auckland is looking for a hands-on intern to support development, production, testing and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes and hydrofoil components. This full‑time, fixed‑term role is 400 hours and paid at $30 per hour.

You'll gain exposure to advanced composite manufacturing, process optimisation, quality assurance and prototype development while working alongside engineers and technicians. This is an opportunity to contribute from day one.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, Manufacturing or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Strong foundation in manufacturing processes and materials.
• Hands-on workshop or fabrication project experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist development of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and repeatability.
• Support production, assembly, and refinement of components and assemblies.
• Collect production data and help identify trends for improvement.
• Contribute to continuous improvement using lean principles.
• Support prototype and pre-production builds and cross-functional collaboration.
