Meridian Energy Limited is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our on-site team at Benmore, Aviemore and Waitaki near Twizel. You’ll carry out on-site maintenance, respond to faults, undertake projects, and help ensure reliable hydro generation.

You’ll repair, maintain, and install heavy rotating plant, identify hazards, plan and report work, and work with safety in mind. This on-site role includes some after-hours rostered work and potential relocation support.

Competenze

• Trade or Advanced Trade Cert in Mechanical Trades.
• Experience in heavy rotating plant maintenance.
• Experience in fault finding control systems.
• Understanding of maintenance management systems and good computer literacy.
• Current Driver’s License.
• Ability to work in a team or individually.
• Commitment to Health & Safety practices.
• Hydro generation experience is a bonus but not essential.
