Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' relevant hydraulic servicing/repair experience.
  • Knowledge of major brand hydraulic components.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse, troubleshoot, service, and repair hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Manufacture, assemble, test, and commission hydraulic equipment.
  • Diagnose faults within hydraulic and mechanical systems with or without schematics.
  • Read and interpret hydraulic drawings including various circuit types.
  • Operate and change accumulators safely.
  • Use hydraulic test, flushing, filtration, and purification equipment.
  • Install hydraulic hoses, pipes, tubing with correct sizing and flow.
  • Complete job cards and timesheets daily.
  • Liaise with customers and internal teams to maintain high service standards.

Integrated Maintenance Group - East Tamaki, North Island

We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Service Technician to join our team based in East Tamaki. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a competitive hourly rate of $38.00-44.00, depending on experience, with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week.

The role involves the manufacture, servicing, repair, and commissioning of hydraulic and mechanical equipment both on-site and within the workshop, working across a range of major-brand hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse, troubleshoot, service, and repair hydraulic and mechanical systems and components
  • Manufacture, assemble, test, and commission hydraulic equipment
  • Diagnose faults within hydraulic and mechanical systems, with or without schematics
  • Read and interpret hydraulic and engineering drawings, including open loop, closed loop, PTO-powered, logic valve, servo, proportional, and regenerative circuits
  • Safely operate and change accumulators
  • Use hydraulic test, flushing, filtration, and purification equipment correctly
  • Select, install, and commission hydraulic hoses, pipes, and tubing, ensuring correct sizing, flow capacity, and compatibility
  • Complete job cards, timesheets, and required documentation accurately and daily
  • Liaise with customers and internal teams to maintain clear communication and high service standards
Skills and Experience Required
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in hydraulic servicing, repair, or mechanical equipment
  • Proven knowledge of major brand hydraulic components
  • Strong technical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
  • Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience
