Job summary

Orion Health in Auckland is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our Workflow team. You’ll work full-stack on our clinical forms and workflow software, using React and TypeScript on the frontend and Java on the backend, with a collaborative, quality‑focused team.

With at least 12 months of professional experience and a BE(Hons) in Software Engineering or BSc in Computer Science, you’ll tackle real healthcare challenges, learn rapidly, and contribute to thoughtful design, testing, and code

Qualifications

• 12 months+ professional software engineering experience.
• BE(Hons) in Software Engineering or BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: design thinking, meaningful tests, version control, code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack features using React, TypeScript and Java.
• Work on configurable clinical forms and workflow software.
• Design solutions and reason through problems before coding.
• Write meaningful automated tests and debug across the stack.
• Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback.
• Grow knowledge of healthcare technology and deployment environments.
