Job summary

IDEXX in Auckland is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to deliver high-quality React frontend components and a robust .NET backend for SmartFlow. This hybrid role requires onsite presence at least three days a week and sits in our Software Centre of Excellence.

You will lead by example across both frontend and backend, drive architecture, migrate the UI from AngularJS to React, and design scalable, secure cloud-based SaaS solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer in a SaaS or product-led environment.
• Deep experience with modern frontend development, ideally React.
• Strong backend capability in C# / .NET.
• Experience building and operating in cloud-based environments.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, delivering high-quality code across React frontend components and .NET backend services.
• Drive frontend architecture and best practices as SmartFlow migrates from AngularJS to React.
• Design and deliver scalable, secure cloud-based SaaS solutions.
• Own testing across your work, from unit to integration level.
• Partner closely with Product Managers and Practice Leads to shape fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Champion pragmatic technical improvements — refactoring, reducing technical debt, and improving performance.
• Influence engineering standards and technical direction across squads.
• Contribute to a strong engineering culture focused on quality, automation, and continuous improvement.
