Placements24 is assisting a respected nonprofit in Queenstown with an HR Intern position to support their HR team. The role offers hands-on exposure across HR functions, including administrative tasks, recruitment support, and employee engagement initiatives, with a hybrid mix of remote and on-site work.

The internship is designed for students or recent graduates in HR-related fields, emphasizing learning, collaboration, and hands-on experience in a professional setting with mentorship

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong desire to learn and develop a career in Human Resources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the administrative duties of the HR department.
• Support the recruitment process by posting vacancies and screening initial applications.
• Help in organizing and conducting new employee onboarding sessions.
• Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement activities.
• Respond to basic employee inquiries under supervision.
• Help in preparing HR reports and presentations.
• Support compliance efforts by ensuring documentation is organized and filed correctly.
• Assist with HR projects as assigned by the HR team.
• Gain exposure to various HR functions including talent management, employee relations, and HR operations.
