Job summary

IDEXX in Auckland is looking for a Data Conversion Engineer to lead data migration projects as clients onboard to IDEXX platforms. You will collaborate with implementation teams to ensure accurate, on-time conversions and help build scalable automation for future migrations.

You will mentor junior onboarding engineers, document workflows, and adapt to client go-lives outside standard hours. The role offers hybrid work, health insurance, parking, and clear career growth within a global technology

Qualifications

• Experience with backend development using Python and PHP.
• Strong interest in data, data structures and databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and teams.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and managing priorities.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS) or CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle data conversion projects from planning to go-live.
• Partner with implementation consultants, project managers and technical specialists.
• Communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders at every stage.
• Run data quality checks, trial conversions and fix data issues early.
• Contribute to a more automated, scalable conversion framework.
• Mentor onboarding engineers and document processes.
