Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Embedded Software Developer to join a leading automotive components manufacturer in Queenstown. You will design, develop, and implement embedded software for ECUs using C/C++, with a strong RTOS background and keen debugging capabilities.
This hybrid role blends on-site collaboration with remote flexibility, enabling work on advanced automotive systems while coordinating with hardware engineers to ensure robust interfaces and system integrity.
Competenze
- Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of embedded software development experience, with automotive exposure.
- Proficient in C and C++ and familiar with RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, QNX).
- Understanding of microcontrollers and automotive comms (CAN/LIN) advantageous.
Mansioni
- Develop embedded software for automotive ECUs using C/C++.
- Implement and optimize RTOS functionalities.
- Design and implement drivers for hardware peripherals.
- Write and maintain design specs and user manuals.
- Perform unit and integration testing to ensure quality.
- Debug and troubleshoot embedded software on target hardware.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define hardware–software interfaces.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards.
