Placements24 in Queenstown is seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Mechanical Engineer to join its product development team. You will design, develop, test, and validate mechanical systems and components for automotive applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of mechanical design experience in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software and engineering simulation tools (FEA/CFD).
• Strong understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, and mechanical principles.
• Experience with product development processes, including DVP&R (Design Validation Plan & Report).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks).
• Conduct engineering analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
• Create and manage technical drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Plan and execute testing procedures to validate component and system performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement design improvements to enhance product performance and reliability.
