Job summary

HR Mechanical Services Ltd in Upper Hutt, North Island, is seeking a qualified HVAC tradesperson to join our team working on Wellington's Matangi trains. You will be hands-on, pulling apart, repairing, and rebuilding HVAC components to a high standard, with no desk work.

You'll perform overhauls, fault finding with diagnostic tools, check parts for reuse, and keep accurate service records. A strong focus on safety and quality, plus the ability to read mechanical drawings, is essential for

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in HVAC or refrigeration is required.
• Refrigerant handling licence (Approved Filler) is required.
• Solid brazing experience in fitting and replacing HVAC components.
• Comfortable reading mechanical drawings and electrical/pneumatic circuits.
• Good hands for assembling mechanical components and following written instructions.

The Job

We overhaul HVAC, brake, and pneumatic components for Wellington's Matangi trains. If you're a qualified HVAC tradesperson who takes pride in doing the job right, we want you on the team.
