Beca Group in Tauranga is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC design for building services across healthcare, education, and commercial sectors in the Bay of Plenty and beyond.

You will produce drawings and calculations, collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams, and manage your workload while supporting senior engineers and engaging clients. Flexible arrangements and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Solid foundation in HVAC design for building services projects.
• Familiarity with Revit/IES and NZ codes.
• Currently pursuing professional registration or chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from concept through construction for building services projects.
• Produce detailed drawings, calculations and specifications for HVAC systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to ensure project outcomes.
• Manage own workload and contribute to project coordination and client engagement.
• Support senior engineers and share knowledge with the Building Services team.
