Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in HVAC and mechanical services design.
• Strong understanding of air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of NZ building services standards and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical services systems for commercial and residential projects.
• Prepare design calculations, equipment selections, and system layouts.
• Develop drawings and specifications using AutoCAD.
• Ensure designs comply with NZ Building Code and standards.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Assist with project estimates, tenders and technical proposals.
• Conduct site visits and provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
• Review existing systems and provide upgrade recommendations.
