Job summary
Refresco is seeking a hands-on HSE Manager to drive safety culture at the Nelson site. You will turn strategy into action on the factory floor, leading the HSE improvement agenda and ensuring compliance across operations.
You will liaise with regulators such as the Environment Agency, partner with leadership and operations, and lead incident investigations, audits, and risk assessments to deliver measurable safety outcomes.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Minimum five years' experience in an HSE role in manufacturing/engineering.
- Proven ability to drive safety improvements and empower teams.
Responsibilities
- Support and improve site HSE systems and compliance.
- Provide practical HSE guidance to managers and staff.
- Promote proactive safety culture via audits and risk assessments.
- Lead incident investigations and continuous improvement activities.
- Manage HSE reporting, KPIs, audits, and emergency preparedness.
- Collaborate with HR to meet environmental and occupational health objectives.
