Job summary

Service Foods is seeking a National Health and Safety Specialist to turn strategy into practical tools and smarter systems across our NZ network. You will partner with operations, understand key risks at sites, and shape national initiatives, assurance activities and improvement plans.

You will build simple tools, drive ISO 45001 readiness, review incidents, coach leaders and turn data into actionable dashboards. Willingness to travel across sites is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on health, safety and wellbeing systems experience.
• At least three years of health and safety work in manufacturing, logistics or related environments.
• Knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation and risk-based application.
• Willingness to travel across Service Foods sites.

Responsibilities

• Build simple, practical health, safety and wellbeing tools for busy operational teams.
• Drive national systems to support legal compliance, ACC AEP readiness, ISO 45001 or similar.
• Review incidents and coordinate escalation, investigation and follow-up.
• Coach leaders, managers, HSRs and frontline teams to embed safety ownership.
• Turn data, audits and site feedback into dashboards and action plans.
• Lead projects that reduce harm and simplify processes across the national network.
• Provide practical advice on risks including transport, fleet safety, travel and site safety controls.
