Job summary

ConsultANZ is seeking an HSE Advisor to join our civil construction team in Tauranga. You will support project teams to implement health and safety practices, audit procedures, and organize safety training to reduce risks across the portfolio.

The role emphasizes enhancing safety culture, strong stakeholder engagement, and working within NZ legislation and HSWA standards. A company vehicle is offered with a competitive NZ$100k-130k salary.

• 3+ years of proven HSE experience in NZ construction.

Main Duties:

• Support and coach the project teams to develop and implement health and safety to manage key project risks efficiently.
• Contribute to enhancing the safety and health culture throughout the company.
• Carry out audits on procedures, behaviors and conditions against company systems.
• Organize safety training for our employees.

Requirements:

• Have a positive, engaging outlook and commitment.
• 3+ years' proven experience with a H&S role in the New Zealand construction industry.
• Relevant Health and Safety qualifications.(NZISM Practitioner level qualification or higher preferred)
• Experienced with New Zealand's legislation, i.e. HSWA, regulations and industry guidelines, and standards.
• Superior teamwork and communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
