Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an HR Analyst – HRIS Analyst to join a multinational, trans‑Tasman team in Wellington (with Auckland considered). The role offers $110,000 – $125,000 NZD + KS and 2 days WFH with flexibility.

You will be the functional and technical expert across HR and payroll systems, optimise a large HRIS/Payroll environment, translate business needs into practical solutions, and partner with payroll, tech and business stakeholders to deliver outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience across HRIS, payroll or Talent systems.
• Experience with large or complex payroll environments.
• Strong SQL and Excel skills.
• Strong reporting and data analysis across payroll and HR data.
• Proven experience in system testing, upgrades and implementation.
• Ability to support or lead annual payroll system upgrades.
• Experience with system integrations and data.
• Good problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Be the functional and technical expert across HR and payroll systems.
• Optimise a large, complex payroll and HRIS environment
• Translate business needs into practical, effective system solutions.
• Work across Talent and payroll systems, including configuration, testing and troubleshooting.
• Assist with and, where required, lead annual payroll system upgrades, including planning, testing, issue resolution and implementation.
• Use SQL, Excel and HR/payroll data to deliver reporting, insights and solutions.
• Manage integrations and data flows across P&C systems.
• Lead system testing, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve processes, technology and the user experience.
• Partner with P&C, payroll, technology and business stakeholders to solve problems and deliver outcomes.
