Bring your HR coordination experience to a team that makes a difference
We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused HR Coordinator to join our HR Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of quality HR services across a large and complex organisation, while continuing to develop your HR knowledge and expertise.
If you enjoy problem solving, thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering excellent service, we'd love to hear from you.
Oranga Tamariki - Ministry for Children has a commitment to putting tamariki and rangatahi at the heart of what we do. In our work, we aim to demonstrate these values:
We are committed to ensuring that New Zealand is the best place in the world to be a child. We are also committed to partnering with hapū, iwi and Māori organisations to find appropriate solutions for tamariki in need.
As an HR Coordinator, you'll provide first-tier HR advice and coordination support across the employee lifecycle. Working as part of the HR Services team, you'll help ensure managers and employees receive accurate, timely and customer-focused support across a range of HR processes.
This is a busy and varied role within a complex organisation. You'll be rewarded with the opportunity to grow your HR knowledge, work alongside a supportive and experienced team, and contribute to meaningful outcomes for tamariki and rangatahi.
At Oranga Tamariki, we want to empower our people with flexible working arrangements to be their best both at work and at home. Our approach is that all roles are considered flexible unless there is a genuine business reason not to be.
Oranga Tamariki offers a step-based remuneration framework that recognises skills and experience through annual progression.
Annual remuneration for this position is between $68,371 and $75,501, depending on experience.
Applications close at midnight on Thursday 19 November 2026.
