Job summary

Bidfood Hamilton is seeking a motivated HR Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the HR & Admin Coordinator, you will provide HR support to managers and employees.

This role covers recruitment activities, performance management, employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives, plus learning and development.

You will analyse workforce trends, assist with workforce planning and data reporting, and support payroll, compliance and HSE as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR, People & Culture or Employment Relations is preferred.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and influence across teams.
• Willing to learn and stay compliant with employment law.
• Proactive, organized and solutions-focused with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support and guidance to managers and employees.
• Support recruitment activities and performance management processes.
• Drive employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives.
• Coordinate learning and development programmes.
• Analyse workforce trends and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Support workforce planning and reporting by gathering and analysing people data.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide back-up for Payroll, Compliance and Health and Safety in branch.
