Job summary

Alpha Recruitment in Hamilton, North Island seeks an experienced HR Generalist for a busy organisation on a 6-month contract. You will provide practical HR support across the full range of people and employment matters, working closely with managers and leaders to deliver commercial HR solutions.

The role involves advice on employment relations, supporting investigations, policy development, coaching, performance management and recruitment.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR Generalist or similar in NZ
• Strong knowledge of NZ employment relations and HR practices
• Proven ability to handle a broad range of employee matters

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR and employment relations advice to managers
• Lead workplace investigations and employee relations matters where appropriate
• Develop, review and implement HR policies and processes
• Coach managers through people-related issues and processes
• Support performance management and development processes
• Coordinate annual performance and remuneration review activities
• Provide guidance on employment agreements, policies and general employment matters
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new employees
