Job summary

WineWorks is seeking an organised HR Administrator in Marlborough to support recruitment and employee lifecycle within a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll provide day-to-day HR administration, onboarding, payroll records, and reporting, while upholding strict confidentiality. This full-time role offers standard hours (8:00–4:30) with some flexibility and a salary of NZ$67,000–NZ$72,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous HR administration, recruitment, or people-focused administration experience.
  • Experience supporting recruitment processes and working with hiring managers.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn HR/payroll systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to build relationships.
  • High levels of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with ability to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR administration support across recruitment, onboarding, changes, and offboarding.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities: advertise roles, schedule interviews, screen applicants, maintain communications.
  • Prepare employment documentation and maintain HR/payroll records.
  • Use HR systems for recruitment, payroll support, and reporting.
  • Coordinate training administration and maintain training records.
  • Support HR reporting, employee surveys, and KPI tracking.
  • Assist Health & Safety administration and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Provide general HR support including inductions and exit interviews.

We have an exciting opportunity for an organised,people-focused individual to join our team as an HR Administrator. This role isideal for someone with previous HR administration and recruitment experiencewho is looking to further develop their career in a fast-paced, supportiveenvironment.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll play a key role insupporting recruitment and employee lifecycle processes while providing broadHR administrative support across the business. You'll gain exposure to a widerange of HR activities and have the opportunity to contribute to initiativesthat support both our people and our culture.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday toFriday within standard office hours (8:00am to 4:30pm). Some flexibility inhours can be accommodated for the right person. The starting salary will bebetween $67,000 to $72,000, depending on your skills, experience, andsuitability for the role.

What you'll be doing

You will provide day-to-day HR administration support across arange of processes, including:

  • Supportingthe end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding,employment changes, and offboarding
  • Coordinatingrecruitment activities, including advertising roles, schedulinginterviews, screening applications, and maintaining candidatecommunications
  • Preparingemployment-related documentation and maintaining accurate HR and payrollrecords
  • UsingHR systems for recruitment administration, payroll support, and reporting
  • Coordinatingtraining administration and maintaining training records
  • SupportingHR reporting, employee surveys, and people-related KPIs
  • Assistingwith Health & Safety administration and wellbeing initiatives
  • Providinggeneral HR support, including correspondence, inductions, and exitinterviews
Skills and experience
  • PreviousHR administration, recruitment, or people-focused administrationexperience
  • Experiencesupporting recruitment processes and working with hiring managers
  • Soundknowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Outlook, Excel, andPowerPoint) and the ability to quickly learn HR and payroll systems
  • Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills, with the ability to buildpositive working relationships across all levels of the business
  • Highlevels of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity when handlingsensitive employee information
  • Strongorganisational and time management skills, with the ability to managemultiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellentattention to detail, particularly when preparing documentation andmaintaining records
  • Flexibilityand willingness to occasionally adjust your schedule to supportoperational requirements
  • Acustomer-service mindset and a friendly, approachable manner
