Job summary

WineWorks Marlborough is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to partner with leaders, provide practical HR advice, and support a values-driven workplace culture. The role covers employment relations, health and wellbeing, HR analytics, recruitment and employee engagement across a busy team.

Fixed-term from November 2026 to August 2027, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with some flexibility. Salary range $87,000–$92,000, and a strong opportunity to influence NZ wine industry teams.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' experience in an HR Advisor or similar HR role.
• Strong knowledge of NZ employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting leaders through employee relations and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Providing advice and coaching to managers on performance management, employee relations, attendance management, disciplinary processes and employment legislation.
• Supporting formal employment processes, including meeting attendance and documentation.
• Coordinating immigration processes, including Accredited Employer requirements, visa monitoring and compliance.
• Supporting recruitment activities, and workforce planning discussions.
• Assisting with employee development, retention and engagement initiatives.
• Creating and coordinating internal communications and employer branding activities.
• Monitoring and reporting on key HR metrics and people data.
• Acting as a local subject matter expert for HR systems and processes.
• Coordinating health, wellbeing and return-to-work programmes.
• Supporting health and safety initiatives, committees and compliance requirements.
• Delivering training and contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement activities.

WineWorks Marlborough is seeking an enthusiastic and capable HRAdvisor to join our team on a fixed term basis from November 2026 through toAugust 2027, covering a period of parental leave. This is an excellentopportunity to make a meaningful contribution in a busy, diverse HR role withina values-driven business.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide practical HRadvice and support to leaders across the business, helping them buildhigh-performing teams and navigate people matters with confidence, fairness andintegrity.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position, working Monday toFriday within standard office hours (8:00am to 4:30pm). Some flexibility inhours can be accommodated for the right person. The starting salary will bebetween $87,000 and $92,000, depending on your skills, experience, andsuitability for the role.

What you'll be doing

This is a varied role that combines HR advisory, employmentrelations, health and wellbeing initiatives, HR reporting and systems support,recruitment, and employee engagement to a large team.

• Excellent communication and relationship-buildingskills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention todetail. Confidence working with peopleat all levels of the business.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach and soundjudgement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications andHR systems.
