Cordis Auckland by Langham Hospitality Group is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily room and public area cleaning to Cordis standards. You will guide and motivate room attendants, coordinate rosters, and ensure timely readiness of rooms while maintaining exceptional guest service.

Ideal candidates will have previous supervisory housekeeping experience, strong leadership, excellent English communication, high attention to detail, and a hands-on, proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations to meet Cordis standards.

• Coach and support Room Attendants to maintain service standards.
• Maintain communication between housekeeping and front desk/other departments.
• Monitor team performance and provide guidance where needed.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns to ensure a positive experience.
• Assist with room cleaning and other duties when required.
• Ensure compliance with hotel procedures and health and safety standards.

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards. You will support the day-to-day operations of our Housekeeping department, guide and motivate our Room Attendants, and ensure every guest enjoys a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment. Your attention to detail, leadership and commitment to exceptional service will help us deliver memorable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas consistently meet Cordis standards.
• Conducting room inspections, including VIP rooms, to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Coordinating daily room assignments and monitoring progress to ensure rooms are ready for guests on time.
• Supporting, training and coaching Room Attendants to maintain service standards and develop their skills.
• Maintaining effective communication between Room Attendants, desk control and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Monitoring team performance, productivity and room allocations, providing guidance and support where needed.
• Responding promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns, ensuring a positive guest experience.
• Taking a hands-on approach and assisting with room cleaning and other housekeeping duties when required.
• Ensuring compliance with hotel procedures, health and safety requirements and housekeeping quality standards at all times.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a supervisory role within a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and support a team.
• Excellent communication skills, with strong spoken and written English.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
• A proactive, hands-on attitude and the confidence to take initiative and resolve problems independently.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest service.
• A positive, team-focused attitude and the ability to build strong working relationships across departments.
• Must have full flexibility to work a rotating roster across 7 days, including weekends and public holidays.
