Job summary

Hāpuku Lodge and Treehouses in Kaikōura, New Zealand, is seeking aSummer housekeeping team member for a seasonal role from September/October through to end of April 2027. You will work in small teams to clean, service and refresh guest rooms and communal areas, with a focus on teamwork and guest comfort in a pristine setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping in a hospitality setting is preferred.
• Candidates should be physically fit and able to carry out cleaning duties.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team are essential.
• Ability to communicate and work across departments to maintain guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleaning across the property.
• Report room or maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with laundry duties as required.
• Communicate and collaborate with other departments.
• Ensure hygiene policies and health & safety standards are followed.
• Keep guest areas clean and well presented.
• Communicate clearly across teams and contribute ideas to improve guest experience.
• Support the wider Lodge team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

If you have experience in housekeeping, are physically fit, possess a positive attitude and enjoy the buzz of team work in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you.

Our housekeeping team work in small teams to keep our property sparkling clean ready for guests to enjoy. You will be responsible for cleaning, servicing and refreshing guest rooms, as well as our communal areas. With an emphasis on team work, you’ll support the rest of our Lodge team to maintain our smooth day to day operations and ensure our guests have clean and beautiful spaces to enjoy.
