Job summary

Jet Park Hamilton Airport Hotel and Conference Centre is seeking a talented Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team. You will work on evening services (A la Carte, buffet, and events) under the Head Chef as a 2IC, with occasional morning shifts.

Qualified chefs with at least CDP level experience of 3+ years, and a passion for great guest experience, will fit well. We offer supportive team, great benefits, free parking, meals, and uniform in a friendly hospitality

Qualifications

We are seeking a talented Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to join the team.

Are you a passionate, energetic chef with well demonstrated skills and experience in the kitchen? You will love working on a busy evening service (A la Carte, buffet, and some functions skills would be an advantage). You must enjoy working predominantly evening shifts, including weekends, with flexibility to step in and help on the AM shift from time to time. You will be working under the Head Chef as a 2 IC in our small kitchen team.

To be successful in securing a high-quality role we're looking for:

• Qualified chefs with at least CDP level experience of 3+ years.
• Experience with a range of cooking styles, a la carte, buffet, café and conference catering.
• Can work under pressure and accustomed to being in-charge when needed!
• A skilled, passionate culinary specialist who keeps abreast of food trends.
• Focus on great guest experience by ensuring superb food and service.
• Experienced in adhering to health & safety regulations in the kitchen.
• Effective communication skills, and an aptitude for multi-tasking and good team-work.
• Able to work on a rostered basis and be reliable in your attendance.
